Education Malaysia Los Angeles (EMLA) Winter Games was first organized three years ago in 2011 and has been since held annually. This year event was held from 21-23 March 2014 at two different venues i.e. California State University Fullerton Sport Arena in Fullerton, California and American Sport Centre in Anaheim, California.
About 100 Malaysian students from across the western region of the United States participated in the 3-day event. Participants had competed in team and individual sports including men's and women's badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, pool and congkak. The objective was to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie among Malaysian students studying in the western region. An award medals and closing ceremony was held on Sunday, 23 March 2014 at the Mughal Tandoori Restaurant in Anaheim, California.
