Mr. Nekmat Ismail, Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles hosted a lunch for the Malaysian team participating in the 2013 VEX Robotics Competition World Championship, at his residence in San Marino, California on Tuesday, 16 April 2013.
The Malaysian team consists of students from The Malay College Kuala Kangsar, Kolej Yayasan Saad Melaka and Institut Kemahiran Tinggi Belia Negara Sepang and their respective teachers. The team is led by Ms. Ilylia Kamaruzaman, Managing Director of Robotics Learning (M) Sdn. Bhd.
The competition which was designed to motivate young people to pursue their education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math and at the same time building self-confidence, knowledge and life skills, will take place in Anaheim Convention Centre, Anaheim, California from 18-20 April 2013.
