The 2013 Yonex/OCBC US Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton Championship was held in Orange County, California from 8-13 July 2013. Around 246 participants from 32 countries including Malaysia participated in the event. Players from Malaysia participated in the event were Mr. Ramdan Dato’ Misbun from Nusa Mahsuri Badminton Club, Mr. Zulfadli Zulkiffli from Zuls Badminton Club and Mr. Tan Chun Seang.
Y.Bhg. Dato’ Misbun Dato’ Hj. Sidek, Nusa Mahsuri Badminton Club Advisor and Head Coach had also on 8 July 2013 paid a courtesy call on Consul General Nekmat Ismail at his 550 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, California chancery.
The Championship has become a platform for young players to showcase their talent and compete in high exposure and top-tier competition.
