Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail attended the kicked off ceremony of the 2013 Champion System Professional Cycling Team which was held on 11 January 2013 at the American Express Stadium Club, Home Depot Centre, Carson, California.
The team comprises of 21 cyclists from countries such as Canada, China, Estonia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Slovenia, South Korea and the United States. Over 100 professional races have been scheduled for this team throughout 2013 in the major International Cyclist Union tours in countries such as China, United States, France, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Italy, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.
Malaysian cyclist Mohd Adiq Husainie Othman, 21 years old is the youngest in the team. He had participated in several cycling championship among others the Asian Cycling Championship 2012, Tour de Langkawi 2012, Tour of Japan 2012, Philadelphia International Cycling Championship 2012, Tour de Beauce 2012 and was one of the Malaysian cyclists for the road race men elite in 2012 Olympic in London.
