In celebration of the Year of the Horse, the Malaysian Association of Southern California (MASC) hosted a Chinese New Year Dinner on Saturday, 8 February 2014. The event was held at a Seafood Place Restaurant in Garden Grove, California. About 150 attendees joined the evening.
The evening program included a Lion Dance which was believed to bring prosperity to both family and businesses, Chinese Classical Tea Harvest Dance by Ms. Peggy Cho, Choy Sun Yeh Ang Pow Giveaway and Raffle Draws.
In his remarks, the Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail commended MASC for their active and vital role in promoting Malaysia and MASC positive contributions to foster friendship, communication and networking among Malaysians living in Southern California.
