Meeting with the President of Malaysian Association of Southern California (MASC)
Tuesday, Aug 24 2021 - The Consulate-General of Malaysia in Los Angeles (CGMLA) was happy to meet with Mr. Stephen Loi, President of MASC.
Founded in 1990, MASC is a non-profit and social organization. The primary purpose of the association is to promote sociability, foster friendship and cultural understanding between people of Malaysian heritage with others in the United States. MASC organises many events to celebrate festivals that are unique to both Malaysian and the American culture.
During the meeting, both sides discussed myriad of matters including the small but well-knitted Malaysian community in Southern California, the challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic to both Malaysians abroad and in Malaysia and how best to assist those affected by the pandemic. Both looked forward to more collaboration between CGMLA and MASC.
