Malaysians in California turned up to celebrate Malaysia’s 56th independence and Aidilfitri in Los Angeles at a reception hosted by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Los Angeles. The event was held on Saturday, 31 August 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Harbor Hotel in San Pedro, California.
It was a joyous occasion attended by over 200 guests including tour operators and agents. The night’s program includes live band and singers comprised of Malaysian and students (including officer) singing patriotic and hari raya songs as well as cultural performances by Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles cultural group.
