Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles won two years in a row the “Best of Show-Cultural Interaction” at the 8th Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show held at the Long Beach Convention Centre in Long Beach, California from 12-13 January 2013.
Activities such as the traditional games of congkak, cungkil lidi, batu seremban, ketupat weaving, teh tarik demonstration and mock Malay wedding as well as traditional Malaysian cultural dance performances had managed to attract visitors to learn, engage and know more about Malaysia traditions and culture. More than 400 exhibitors participated in this annual event which is the largest travel show in California.
Consul General Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail and Vice President of Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles, Mr. Mazlan Araju received the certificate for the “Best of Show-Cultural Interaction” from the organizer.
