YB Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Malaysia undertook a working visit to Los Angeles from 28-30 September 2013. YB Minister was accompanied by YBhg Datuk Norani Mohd. Hashim, Director General Department of Social Welfare of the Ministry.
The purpose of the visit was to learn on the model of a retirement home in the United States. YB Minister visited Hollenbeck Palms Home in Boyle Height, Los Angeles on Monday, 30 September 2013. Briefing and tour of Hollenbeck Palms Home facilities was given by Ms. Kathy Abbot-Mayer, Director of Marketing Communications. The Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail and Vice Consul, Mr. Muhamad Amin Dalek were also present during the briefing and tour of the facilities.
