NEW JERSEY - FEB 25, 2017: The Rutger University, New Brunswick hosted an Art Charity Workshop (The Batik Experience) on 25 February 2017. The Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Jeremiah Oliver Jitos was given the honour to officiate the said Workshop. The main objectives of the event were to raise fund for PANDAWAS Academy, the private school for refugees based in Kuala Lumpur, as well as the opportunity for the students to promote batik.
Around 80 guests attended the Art Charity Workshop, consists of students from Rutger University and nearby higher institution of learning as well as local residents.
The Consul General took the time to mingle with the participants who are clearly enjoyed their experience doing batik painting.
