MANHATTAN, 11 AUGUST 2017: In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, the Consulates General and Consulates of ASEAN countries in New York have jointly organized the ASEAN Night Reception on 11 August 2017 at the Philippines Centre in New York.
The event provided an opportunity for ASEAN consular and diplomatic personnel, officials of New York City and other invited guests to get together and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN. Around 150 guests attended the joyful event. The highlights of the event were the cultural performances from Indonesia (Gamelan & Balinese dance), Thailand (traditional Thai welcoming dance) and musical performance by the Phillippines.
