MALAYSIAN CONTEMPORARY ARTS PHOTO EXHIBITION New York, 12 March - 30 April 2009

A Malaysian Contemporary Photography Art Exhibition, organized by Malaysian gallery, SHALINI GAHENDRA FINE ART (www.shaliniganendra.com), will be held at the prestigious English-Speaking Union (ESU) headquarters, located at 144E 39^th Street (on 3^rd. Ave) from 12/3 – 30/4, 2009.

This exhibition during New York's Asian Art Week was curated by Shalini Ganendra Fine Art, with the support of the Consulate and ESU USA. The Show features works by four established Malaysian artists: award winner Yeoh Kean Thai, Chin Kon Yit and photographers, Eric Peris and Nirmala Karuppiah.  

It is hoped that the high caliber work featured in this show will nurture cross cultural understanding. Additionally, the exhibition itself should impress collectors and viewers. Yeoh Kean Thai was the winner of the US Freeman Fellowship award in 2008.
