NEW YORK, JAN 29, 2017: On 29th January 2017, the new Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States, Tan Sri Zulhasnan Rafique and Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Jeremiah Oliver Jitos, were invited by Tourism Malaysia New York to attend the New York Times Travel Show which was held at the Javits Centre from 27 to 29 January 2017. Tourism Malaysia New York has opened a booth to showcase tourism in Malaysia.
At Tourism New York's booth, the Ambassador and the Consul General were given the briefing by Mr. Ahmad Johanif Ali, the Director of Tourism Malaysia New York. The Ambassador, the Consul General and Mr. Ahmad Johanif had a sideline discussion on various matters pertaining to tourism promotion in the USA particularly in New York.
The New York Times Travel Show is a three days event and showcased products like familiar favourites and under the radar crowd free escapes. Many great offers such as flight tickets, interesting vacation destinations as well as business opportunities in travel and tourism industry were offered in the said event.
