20 February 2019, Washington DC : Malaysia handed over the Presidency of the ASEAN Women’s Circle to Vietnam during the 1st Executive Committee Meeting of the year 2019 on 29 January 2019. Subsequently, on 20th of February, Malaysia hosted the 2nd Executive Committee and Annual General Meetings to announce the appointment of Mrs. Lien Nguyen Thi Phuong, Executive Committee Member of Vietnam as the next AWC-DC President. The AGM also identified the AWC programs and activities for 2019, among them, publishing an ‘ASEAN Cookbook’ and having an ASEAN Fashion Show, which could be held jointly with the launching of the ASEAN Cookbook.
