On 9 March 2023, H.E. Appointed Ambassador Dato' Seri Nazri Aziz paid a Courtesy Call on H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to the U.S. The discussion was centred upon issues of mutual interests in enhancing the ASEAN-US relations.
Bilaterally, Thailand is one of the first 20 nations to establish diplomatic relations with Malaysia in 1957. 2023 marks the 66th years anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries which remain strong and friendly bonded by historical links and long-standing diplomatic, economic and people-to-people interactions.
