Malaysia at the Oval Office : Ambassador of Malaysia Presents Letter of Credence to President Biden

On 19 April 2023, His Excellency Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States, presented his Letter of Credence to The Honourable Mr. Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States of America. The Ceremony was held at the Oval Office of the White House. At the ceremony, the President also welcomed Datin Seri Haflin Nazri Aziz, spouse of the Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States. 

Ambassador Dato' Seri Nazri now serves as the 17th Malaysian Ambassador to the United States. During the ceremony, Ambassador Dato' Seri Nazri exchanged warm pleasantaries with President Biden, which included an expression of continued commitment on both sides to further strengthen the Malaysia-United States Comprehensive Partnership. 

Malaysia-United States diplomatic ties have witnessed remarkable progress since its establishment in 1957. Since then, the strong and substantial relations have been reflected in a plethora of cooperation, namely trade, investment, defence and people-to-people relations. In 2022, the United States was ranked as Malaysia's 3rd highest trading partner, 3rd largest export destination and 4th largest source of imports.
