5. The Embassy of Malaysia in Washington DC had the pleasure of hosting YB Dato' Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 12 to 13 May 2016 as part of his working visit to the US.
Prior to that YB Dato' Sri was in New York to attend the General Assembly and Security Council meetings of the United Nations from 10 to 11 May 2016.

6. The annual NYDC Games was co-hosted by Malaysia's Permanent Mission to the UN and Malaysia's Consulate General in New york on 14 May and from 21 to 22 May 2016.
Six categories were up for grabs; golf, bowling, badminton, soccer, ping pong, scrabble and karaoke. This year was not DC's year unfortunately as we only managed to garner victory in soccer and tie in golf. The team however showed high spirits and had fun all the way. Till next year!
