16 June, Nottaway Park, Vienna, Virginia : H.E. Dato’ Azmil Zabidi attended the Nasi Lemak picnic, an annual event organized by Puan Diana Isa, a member of the Embassy staff, who is also an active member of the Malaysian diaspora. The Picnic is a popular event, gathering almost 200 Malaysians living in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area every year. While attendees feasted on Malaysian favourites like nasi lemak and cucur bawang, the organisers gave away lucky draw prizes and some attendees also took part in the Malaysian kuih competition with prizes courtesy of the Embassy, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
