VISIT BY MRS. MARY ANDERSON PAWLENTY THE FIRST LADY OF MINNESOTA TO THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA ON 17 FEBRUARY 2009

Mrs. Mary Anderson Pawlenty, First Lady of the State of Minnesota called on Mr. Ilango Karuppannan, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. on 17 February 2009. Mrs. Pawlenty came on behalf of the Children’s Heartlink organization with its slogan of “Healing Hearts Worldwide”. She thanked Malaysia’s effort in fighting heart disease through the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur and for working as a partner with the Children’s Heartlink.

Mr. Ilango thanked Mrs. Pawlenty for her visit. He expressed readiness to facilitate Mrs. Pawlenty’s visit to Malaysia should one be planned for the future. Mrs. Pawlenty also offered to facilitate any visit by the Embassy officials or from Malaysia to the State of Minnesota.
