Ambassador Abdul Aziz held talks with H.E. Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhammedova

 

On the request of the Embassy of Malaysia on 30^th March 2010 H.E. Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhammedova, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, received Ambassador Abdul Aziz at the Parliament building in Tashkent.

 

2. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on the bilateral relations between the two countries and to discuss the forthcoming visit of H.E. Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhammedova and the Uzbekistan Parliamentary delegation’s visit to Malaysia on 13-16^th April 2010.

 

3. H.E. Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhammedova informed that she attaches great importance to the interparliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia and expressed her hope that her forthcoming visit will serve to further enhance the existing close cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries and will further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. H.E. Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhammedova’s visit to Malaysia would be her first foreign visit abroad after taking office since three and half years ago. Her visit to Malaysia together with other members of the delegation shows the importance Uzbekistan attaches to Malaysia in further cementing the existing close relations and cooperation between the two countries.

 

4. The two sides agreed to work closely in preparing the official programme of the forthcoming visit in order to make the visit a fruitful and successful one.
