H. E. Ambassador Hendy Assan paid a courtesy call on the on H.E. Sukhrob Kholmuradov, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for Investment of Uzbekistan on 4 December 2018.
H.E Ambassador expressed that Malaysia-Uzbekistan trade is at satisfactory level and trade numbers could further improve, especially with the current President’s economic reforms. He encouraged Uzbekistan to consider sourcing more products and services from Malaysia particularly in commodities, medical, healthcare and education, among others.
H.E Deputy Prime Minister expressed commitment to work together with the Embassy to assist Malaysian investors in Uzbekistan. He hoped that more Malaysian company would invest in the tourism sector.
