The Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent hosted a friendly luncheon on 21 February 2017 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan. It was our privilege to receive Mr. Abror Fatkhullaev, Head of Asia Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan who represented the Government of Uzbekistan as the guest of honor to this event.
Apart from officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, others presented were heads/representatives from the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Council of Friendship Societies of Uzbekistan, Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology Development, ISTE’DOD Foundation, National TV & Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the MTCP Alumni Club. This group also represents the Friends of Malaysia in Uzbekistan who have collaborated with the Embassy in bringing the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan closer.
