H.E. Ambassador Hendy Assan presented his credentials to H.E. Emomali Rakhmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, on 21 November 2018.
During the official ceremony held at the Presidential “Qasri Millat Palace” at the center of capital Dushanbe, President Emomali Rakhmon underlined that Malaysia occupied a special position in Tajikistan’s foreign policy and is a leading economic and trade partner in the South-Asian region. The President also expressed that there was still huge untapped potential for cooperation in various areas including in economic, investment, trade, culture, higher education and tourism.
President Emomali Rakhmon also stated that the bilateral dialogue at the highest levels between the leaders and other senior officials should be continued in the future. The President wished success to Ambassador Hendy Assan in carrying out his duties in the future.
