IFTAR (BREAKING FAST) HOSTED BY H.E. AMBASSADOR ABDUL AZIZ HARUN TO UZBEKISTAN MTCP ALUMNI MEMBERS ON 28th AUGUST, 2009

 

 

H.E. Ambassador Abdul Aziz Harun hosted an Iftar (Breaking Fast) for about 20 Uzbekistan MTCP alumni members at his official residence on 28th August, 2009.  All of the participants who attended the function are from Tashkent city and its surrounding area.

 

Most of the participants attended the Iftar were in Malaysia attending various MTCP training courses between 2003 to 2009.  Among other the participants have attended the training courses organized by various training institution in Malaysia i.e. INTAN, Property Valuation Institute, Multimedia University, Tun Abdul Razak Broadcasting Institute (IPTAR), Islamic Tourism Center, Department of Veterinary Services, Academy of Science Malaysia and Aminuddin Baki Institute.

 

The Uzbekistan former MTCP participants/MTCP alumni members were treated with Malaysia traditional delicacies i.e. Chinese fried rice, fried noodles, meat ball soup and vegetables, fried herbs chicken, mutton curry, green bean porridge  and others. 

 

The Uzbekistan guests are delighted and appreciated on the Embassy efforts in hosting the Iftar and at the same time on the foods served during the Iftar which they believed have refreshed their found and good memory on Malaysia when they attended MTCP programmes in Malaysia few years ago.

 

Before the Breaking Fast, in his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Abdul Aziz welcomed the Uzbekistan MTCP alumni members to the Iftar hosted by the Embassy and hope the close networking between the Embassy with the Uzbekistan MTCP alumni will be further enhanced in the future.  Ambassador Abdul Aziz also took the opportunity to congratulate the Uzbekistan guests on the occasion of 18th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan which will fall on 1st September, 2009.

 

Ambassador Abdul Aziz further expressed his hope that the friendship and cooperation between the Embassy with Uzbekistan MTCP alumni will be further enhanced in year to come.  The Embassy considers that all the ex-Uzbekistan MTCP participants/MTCP alumni members as friends of Malaysia and could acted as a bridge to link between Malaysia and Uzbekistan not only on their official capacity but also personal basis in order to promote better understanding and cooperation between the two countries and the two peoples for mutual benefit.
