MALAYSIAN FAMILY TAKES ON THE CHALLENGE TO TRAVEL FROM UK TO MALAYSIA BY ROAD

Malawakil Tashkent played host to a Malaysian family who have embarked on an expedition by road on a camper-van from UK to Malaysia entitled “By Road to Malaysia”. During their expedition they would be crossing through more than 20 countries in Europe and Asia.


The Malaysian family arrived in Uzbekistan on 18th October through the Turkmen –Uzbek border check point in Bukhara province. After visiting historical cities of Bukhara and Samarkand, the family arrived in Tashkent on 22nd October 2013 and “parked” in the Chancery complex. The family consisting of parents Encik Jamalulail Ismail and wife Puan Sofinee Harun and their four children Puteri Sabeera, Muhammad Syameem, Sumirah and Ahmad Seif stayed in Uzbekistan until 25th October 2013 and left for neighbouring Kyrgyzstan from where they were planning to cross to China, Laos, Thailand and eventually home to Malaysia.
