The Malaysian National Futsal Team consisted of 20 players, the National Futsal Coach Marcelo Serpa and four Officials from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) arrived in Tashkent on 5 February 2016 to participate in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Championship which took place from 9 – 21 February 2016. The delegation later was warmly welcomed by Her Excellency Ambassador who hosted a luncheon at her Official Residence on 8 February 2016.
Her Excellency Ambassador together with the Embassy’s Staff and their families were present at the stadium to cheer and support our National Team in all three matches in the Group D against Australia (February 11), Japan (February 13) and Qatar (February 15).
