The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V on 5 July 2018 presented the instruments of appointment to 10 Malaysian envoys to head Malaysia's foreign missions abroad. Among the newly appointed Head of Mission is H.E. Ambassador-Designate Hendy Assan, who will be the new Ambassador of Malaysia to Uzbekistan.
Also at the ceremony, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong received the credentials of three new foreign envoys to Malaysia, including the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, H.E.Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov.
