Deputy Secretary General for Bilateral Affairs, Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, co-chaired the Second Malaysia-Republic of Tajikistan Bilateral Consultations on 4 September 2025 in Putrajaya with his counterpart, HE. Farrukh Sharifzoda Homiddin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan (Deputy Secretary-General equivalent).
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors encompassing trade and investment, agricommodity, green and renewable energy, halal industry, finance and banking, tourism, education, aviation, youth and sports and capacity building through the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP).
Both sides underscore the importance of frequent high-level visits between both countries in enhancing the breadth and depth of bilateral relations.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, including ASEAN-Malaysia Chairmanship 2025, Palestine issue and Afghanistan.
