17112025 Excellency Ilham Tuah Illias, Ambassador of Malaysia, participated in the signing ceremony of the Collaboration Agreement between the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute (TCTI), and the Uzyogmoysanoat Association. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation in the palm oil sector, fostering research, innovation, and industrial development.
His Excellency emphasized the importance of such collaborations in promoting sustainable practices, technological exchange, and capacity-building initiatives, while also highlighting the potential for deepening Malaysia–Uzbekistan bilateral relations through strategic partnerships in education, science, and industry. Ambassador with Ms Belvinder Sron, CEO of Malaysian Palm Oil Council then toured the institute. They were amazed by the facilities as well as the projects undertaken currently by the institute. This gave idea for them for both countries researchers to come and work together on new products. In addition to create awareness for palm oil benefits and to ease the costs for SME in Uzbekistan to thrive.
