On 28 April 2012, the Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent and PETRONAS Ladies participated in the Tashkent International School (TIS) Spring Bazar and Arts in the Park event which was organized by the Parents-Teacher Association of TIS. As practiced in the previous years, most of the parent with children who studies in TIS participates in this annual event presenting various national dishes, sales of second hand books, accessories, carpets, embroideries and many other items which normally attract many visitors. The students have performance from the Drama, Music and Visual Arts classes and they also perform the dancing, acting, fashion show and other entertainment at the same venue.
As normal, the Malaysian booth have attracted a big crowd and many visitors buying our traditional cuisines such as curry puffs, kuih lapis, mee goreng, roti jala with chicken curry, pulut kuning with rendang daging, cucur pisang, kuih bingka, buah Melaka, keropok ikan, keropok bawang and ice cream Malaysia which interests the foreign and local visitors. The sale of our Malaysian cuisines is very encouraging with the visitors coming back for a second or third time to our booth for the tasty home-made foods while enjoying the spring climate.
The participation of Malaysian Embassy in TIS Spring Bazar and Arts in the Park recently has directly promotes the good image of the Embassy and Malaysia in general to local and foreign expatriates and their family members who based in Tashkent.
