On 27 September 2006, President Islam Karimov signed a Resolution “On simplifying of visa procedures for the citizens of Malaysia”, providing simplified order of issuing visas for Malaysia citizens.
a) In accordance to the Resolution, 6 month multiple visas will be issued with 2 working days (excluding the day of submitting documents) for the citizens of Malaysia intending to visit Uzbekistan with official purposes. Submission of a written application to the MFA of Uzbekistan from the inviting party in Uzbekistan is not required for such visas.
b) One month multiple visas will be issued within 2 working days (excluding the day of submitting documents) for the citizens of Malaysia intending to visit Uzbekistan as tourists and pilgrims. Presenting of a tourist voucher is not required in this case. Citizens of Malaysia intending to travel to Uzbekistan can obtain visas at the diplomatic missions and consular agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia and other countries.
