APPOINTMENT OF NEW HEADS OF MISSION OF MALAYSIA
Seven new Heads of Mission of Malaysia received their Letters of Credence from Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah at Istana Negara on Monday, 18 July 2016. The Presentation of Letters of Credence Ceremony was also attended by YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Hj. Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs and YBhg. Tan Sri Othman Hashim, Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The new Heads of Mission are as follows:
Dato’ Hasnudin Hamzah
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Belgium
Dato’ Hasnudin Hamzah started his service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984. He was the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN in Jakarta since 2012 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium.
He was previously the High Commissioner of Malaysia to New Zealand from 2009 to 2011, Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan with concurrent accreditation to Iraq from 2006 to 2009 and Deputy Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from 1998 to 2002.
Dato’ Hasnudin had also served as Second Secretary and subsequently First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, the Philippines from 1988 to 1992 and as First Secretary and subsequently Counsellor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore from 1994 to 1998.
Dato’ Raszlan Abdul Rashid
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Philippines
Dato’ Raszlan Abdul Rashid joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1984. He was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia from 2013 to 2016 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines.
He was previously the Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia to India from 2011 to 2013, Consul General of Malaysia in Songkhla, Thailand from 2005 to 2008 and Chief Liaison Officer at the Malaysian Liaison Office in Pristina, Kosovo from 2002 to 2005.
Dato’ Raszlan had also served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1990 to 1993 and First Secretary and subsequently Charge d’affaires at the Embassy of Malaysia in Caracas, Venezuela from 1996 to 2000.
Dato’ Mahinder Singh a/l Ram Singh
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Switzerland
Dato’ Mahinder Singh a/l Ram Singh joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1981. He was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Venezuela from 2011 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Switzerland.
He was previously the Ambassador of Malaysia to Nepal from 2005 to 2007, Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, the Philippines from 2003 to 2005 and Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Bonn, Germany from 1996 to 2001.
Dato’ Mahinder Singh had also served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow, Russia from 1990 to 1993.
Mr. Mohd Hassan Bal
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Croatia
Mr. Mohd Hassan Bal started his service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. He was the Undersecretary of Human Resource Management Division since 2014 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Croatia.
He was previously the Undersecretary of Multilateral Political Division from 2011 to 2014 and Consul General of Malaysia in Vancouver, Canada from 2007 to 2011.
Mr. Mohd Hassan had also served as Second Secretary and subsequently as Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1999 to 2003.
Mr. Muzafar Shah Mustafa
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Venezuela
Mr. Muzafar Shah Mustafa started his service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. He was the Undersecretary of Finance Division since 2014 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Venezuela.
He was previously the Deputy Chief of Protocol from 2012 to 2013 and Deputy Director General of the Department of Policy Planning and Strategy from 2011 to 2012.
Mr. Muzafar Shah had also served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Baghdad, Iraq from 1999 to 2003 and Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin, Germany from 2007 to 2011.
Mr. Roseli Abdul
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Turkmenistan
Mr. Roseli Abdul joined the Malaysian Public Service in 1995. He was the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, Indonesia since 2013 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkmenistan.
He was previously the Undersecretary of OIC, D8, Special Organizations and South-South Cooperation Division from 2012 to 2013 and Consul General of Malaysia in Kunming, China from 2008 to 2012.
Mr. Roseli had also served as Consul at the Consulate General of Malaysia in New York, United States from 2000 to 2003 and Counsellor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, Pakistan from 2006 to 2008.
Mr. Abd Razak Abdul Wahab
Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to Turkey
Mr. Abd Razak Abdul Wahab started his service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. He was the Consul General of Malaysia in New York, United States since 2014 prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkey.
He was previously the Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow, Russia from 2009 to 2011 and Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm, Sweden from 2006 to 2009.
Mr. Abd Razak had also served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo, Egypt from 1998 to 2002.
