BOMB ATTACK IN ATATURK AIRPORT, ISTANBUL
The Government of Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the bomb attack that took place in Ataturk Airport, Istanbul on 28 Jun 2016, which killed an estimated 36 people and left 147 others injured.
The Government of Malaysia extends its condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey, and to the families and victims affected by the attack. Malaysia regards this latest terrorist act as inhumane and hopes the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
So far there have been no Malaysians involved in the incident. The Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara will continue to monitor the situation. The Ministry wishes to remind Malaysian citizens residing and travelling to Turkey to always give utmost priority to their personal safety and the security of their surroundings, and to closely monitor and comply with any advisory issued by the Government of the Republic of Turkey.
