58TH MALAYSIA DAY AND 82ND ARMED FORCES DAY CELEBRATION

Malaysia Day is held on September 16 yearly to commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation on the same date in 1963. Celebrations are held at various parts of the country and also overseas.
In the UAE, Malaysia Day celebration was celebrated together with the Armed Forces Day in The Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi. Around 300 guests attended the said event.
Guest of Honour for the function was His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development of the UAE. His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Ahmad Anwar Adnan began is speech explaining about the celebration and touched base on the bilateral relation between Malaysia and the UAE.
Local Malaysian delicacies such as satay, pecal, nasi goreng and also Malaysian fruits viz. mangosteen, mangoes, rambutan and etc were served to the guests.
Malaysian dancers specially brought from Universiti Malaysia Perlis performed local dances to all guests. The event is considered a major success to all in highlighting Malaysia and its hospitality.
