The Consulate General of Malaysia in Dubai held Eid Prayers at the Consulate's premise on 20 September 2009. The prayer was led by Mr Sushilil Azam Shuib, Consul of Education and attended by around 250 people. The crowd was the largest ever gathering on the ocassion of Eid since 2008.
Light refreshment was held after the prayer with food brought over by attendees. One could seen traditional delicacies like nasi himpit, kuah sate, lontong and karipap being served.
The gathering also served to stregthen the spirit of Malaysia. Invitations to Open Houses were exchanged among those that were present.
