Professor Dato Dr. Rani Shamsuddin, Medical Director of the University Dental Hospital and Dean at the College Dentistry has been recognised as one of the co founders for the dentistry program at the university. Prof. Dato Dr. Rani who was the Dean of the Dentistry Faculty at the USM, Kelantan joined the Sharjah project in June 2006.
The project was completed and inaugurated by the Ruler of Sharjah in June 2011. The hospital has been registered as the first university dental hospital in the UAE. It is a one-stop center for comprehensive dental care where advanced innovative medical technology and caring environment are practiced for the best patient care.
