THE 5th WORLD GOVERNMENT SUMMIT
DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
12 – 14 FEBRUARY 2017
The UAE government organised the 5th World Government Summit (WGS) in Dubai, UAE from 12 – 14 February 2017, bringing together more than 140 governments and international organisations and 4000 delegates on the leading global platform to share knowledge and experiences in the efforts to improve government work and help improve the lives of citizens worldwide. The theme for this year’s edition is “Shaping Future Governments”.
This is Malaysia’s second participation in the event. YB Datuk Paul Low Seng Kuan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department led the Malaysian delegation to the 5th WGS. YAB Prime Minister and YB Minister of Finance II were both unable to attend the summit even though the invitation were directed to them by the UAE Prime Minister Office. Last year, Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani attended the session from 8 – 10 February 2016.
Datuk Paul Low was not asked to present any topics and participated as an observant. The outcome of the summit will be presented to the Prime Minister by Minister Paul Low.
