On 15 March 2021, Chargé d´affaires Ahmad Shazril Suhaimi attended a briefing session at the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires. The briefing session was held to introduce the Argentine Football Association-Football Technology Institute (AFA-FTI), established to promote Argentine football techniques and to train new generation of footballers using advance technology. The technology optimizes football training methods and produces accurate assessment on the performance of the players.
After the opening remarks by Mr. Claudio Tapia, President of AFA, Mr. Guillermo Tofoni, CEO of AFA-FTI briefly explained about the model, scope and the link between methodologies of Argentine football training technique with the technology used. AFA-FTI then presented a live demonstration of an apps used to capture data of a player performing football skills such as juggling, dribbling and passing.
