26 January 2020 – All HBS and families was invited by Mr. and Mrs. Khoo at their residence in Canning Ezeiza to celebrate Chinese New Year in Buenos Aires. It was an hour drive from downtown to experience the colourful lunar celebration. Everyone was wearing red color outfit as traditional beliefs held that red could scare away evil spirits and bad fortune.
In the entrance, we were greeted and each of family handover a goodies/gift to the host and the event started with the lighting of fire crackers followed by tossing of Yee Sang and everybody enjoyed the varieties of Chinese New Year vegetarian dishes.
Thank you to the host as we really enjoyed the day especially the young Malaysians who had the opportunity to enriched their knowledge of an important multicultural celebration of Malaysia, unity in diversity.
