In November, Ambassador Nur Azman Abdul Rahim visited Montevideo, Uruguay, together with the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Embassies in Argentina, also known as ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA). All Heads of Mission of ACBA are also accredited to Uruguay. ACBA was invited by the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU) and the MERCOSUR-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (MACC) to participate in a Seminar about ASEAN: “ASEAN in the Post-Pandemic: Opportunities for Uruguay”. During the 3-day working visit, ACBA also had a series of meetings with Foreign Minister, H.E. Francisco Bustillo, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, H.E. Fernando Mattos, the President of the UCU, as well as the President of the National Meat Institute (INAC), Mr. Conrado Ferber. Site visits were also arranged to the free trade zone and science park, namely Microsules Laboratory, Softy´s Factory and Apiter Laboratory.
En noviembre, el Embajador Nur Azman Abdul Rahim visitó Montevideo, Uruguay, junto con los Jefes de Misión de las Embajadas de la ASEAN en Argentina, que conforman el Comité de la ASEAN en Buenos Aires (ACBA). Todos los Jefes de Misión están también acreditados en Uruguay. La Universidad Católica de Uruguay (UCU) y la Cámara de Comercio MERCOSUR-ASEAN (MACC) invitó a los miembros del ACBA a participar en el Seminario: El rol de la ASEAN post-pandemia: oportunidades para Uruguay. Durante la visita de trabajo que duró 3 días, el ACBA también se reunió con el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, S.E. Francisco Bustillo, el Ministro de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca, S.E. Fernando Mattos, el Presidente de la UCU, y el Presidente del INAC, Sr. Conrado Ferber. También se llevaron a cabo visitas a la zona franca y parque de ciencias, Laboratorio Microsules, Fábrica Softy´s y el Laboratorio Apiter.
