14 October 2017 – In conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara which is celebrated in Malaysia, the Embassy of Malaysia in Buenos Aires took the opportunity to organize a Bowling Tournament which was held at Dragon Bowling Centre, Buenos Aires. A strong 31 Malaysians and Friends of Malaysia participated in this inaugural event where Individual event for both Men and Women were up for challenge. After superb and power bowling for nearly 1 and half hour with dozens of strikes and spares, Datin Aniza Khalid, spouse of Ambassador Dato’ Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak emerged as the Women Individual Champion and even clinched the Women Highest Pins Fall title. For Men Individual, the title went to Ambassadors son, Amir Shauqi who also walk away with the Men Highest Pins Fall title. Medals and trophies were presented to 7 winners in both Men and Women Individual categories including top 3 for Men and Women Highest Pins Fall.
During the awards presentation ceremony, the Ambassador recorded his thanks and appreciation to all his fellow Malaysians and Friends who had participated and made the event a thrilling and memorable one. All presence have truly enjoyed the games and praised the excellent efforts of the Embassy in organizing the event in the true spirit of 1 Malaysia and camaraderie.
