MEETING BETWEEN T.Y.T. MALAYSIAN AMBASSADOR AND DIRECTOR GENERAL OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DEPARTMENT, ARGENTINE FOREIGN MINISTRY, 22 JULY 2010

His Excellency Dato’ Zulkifli Yaacob, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Argentina, accompanied by his First Secretary, Mr. Mohd Hafiz Othman, had a meeting with Her Excellency Ambassador Julia Levi, Director General of International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina on 22 July 2010, at the latter’s office. The International Cooperation Department is covering the international technical cooperation between Argentina and other countries, including the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) that Malaysia offers to Argentina since 1997.

The meeting was held in a very friendly and warm atmosphere and allowed for frank and open exchanges of views and dialogue. It provided the opportunity for both sides to discuss the progress of technical cooperation and activities between both countries. His Excellency Dato’ Zulkifli Yaacob emphasized that by having the Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Co-Operation Agreement signed in 1991, both countries should further develop and enhance the technical cooperation by sharing the expertise and knowledge in specific areas. Both sides also agreed that Malaysia and Argentina, both being developing countries, are ready to foster the South-South Cooperation as well as to promote mutually beneficial relations in various fields in the future.
