On 27 November 2017, Dato’ Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak, Ambassador, received a visit and held meeting with Mr. Pablo Sebastian Mamet, Minister of Production, Province of Chubut. Also present were Mr. Christian Fraysse, Undersecretary of Industries and Mr. Rosendo Logo, Undersecretary of Agricultural. Chubut is the third largest province of Argentina. Area 86,751 square miles (224,686 square km). Population - 577,466 (2017). Sheep raising and wool production, the predominant activities, originated with the Welsh colonizers. Oil has become an important source of income, with one of the country’s largest oil fields situated in the south of the province, near Comodoro Rivadavia. It produces about one-fifth of Argentina’s petroleum.
