WEBINAR – HOW TO DO BUSINESS WITH SOUTHEAST ASIA? MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE EXPERIENCE

13 September 2020 - The Webinar was co-organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and Services, the Latin America Chamber of Commerce, Singapore and MATRADE.

Around 50 participants attended the Webinar. Malaysia Trade Commissioner, Mr Wan Ahmad Tarmizi Wan Idris participated in the webinar and shared the overview of trade relations between the two countries. Ms. Aldana Depetro, MATRADE Officer from the Embassy of Malaysia in Buenos Aires, made a presentation on the potential trade opportunities between Uruguay and Malaysia. In the webinar as well, Ms. Angela Torres, CEO and Founder of the Latin America Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, also shared about the e-commerce in Southeast Asia and Singapore as regional hub. The Embassy of Malaysia would like to take this opportunity to thank the Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and Services, the Latin American Chamber of Commerce and MATRADE for organizing the event and look forward to more events and activities that could be organized together to increase the bilateral trade and further strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. This event is part of the continuing efforts of MATRADE and the Embassy of Malaysia in exploring business opportunities as well as reaching out to potential traders in doing business with Malaysia.

WEBINAR:: How to develop business with Southeast Asia? Experiences from Malaysia and Singapore.

The webinar was organized by the Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and Services, the Latin America Chamber of Commerce and MATRADE and was attended by around 50 people. The Malaysian Trade Manager, Mr. Wan Ahmad Tarmizi Wan Idris was one of the speakers and shared a summary of the bilateral relations between the two countries. Ms. Aldana Depetro, representative of the commercial area at the Malaysian Embassy in Buenos Aires, spoke about the commercial opportunities between Uruguay and Malaysia. Ms. Angela Torres, CEO and founder of the Latin America Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, also participated in the event and spoke about e-commerce in Southeast Asia and Singapore as a regional hub.
