On 9 December, H.E Dato' Mohd Khalid Abbasi bin Abdul Razak and colleagues had a working visit to Frigorífico Gorina (FG), a well-known beef slaughter house in La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires. Frigorífico Gorina (FG) is a well known beef slaughter house in La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires. (FG) for the past 20 years has been exporting various types of fine and quality Halal beef cuts to China and Morocco. They are at present applying Halal Certification from JAKIM. During the visit, they provided a briefing on the overall process, visiting the slaughtering area, deboning, packaging and coolers/storage. The visit ended with a sumptuous luncheon serving halal beef. It is our fervent hope that the exportation of Halal Argentine beef will commence in 2020.
