WORKING VISIT OF YB DATO’ SRI ANIFAH AMAN, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS MALAYSIA TO BANGKOK, THAILAND FOR THE 14TH ASIA COOPERATION DIALOGUE MINISTERIAL MEETING, 8-10 MARCH 2016
YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead the Malaysian delegation to the 14th Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting (ACD MM14), which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 8 to 10 March 2016. YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Under the theme, “ACD – The Way Forward”, the meeting will deliberate on four interrelated core elements of the ACD which are, Asian community building; regional economic integration and multidimensional connectivity; inclusive and sustainable development; and, ACD mechanism enhancement. It will be preceded by the Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM).
On the side-lines of the ACD MM14, YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the ACD member states to discuss issues of common interest.
The participation of YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman at the ACD MM14 reflects Malaysia’s commitment to revitalise the ACD into an effective Pan-Asian inter-regional forum.
