YBhg. Dato’ Suhaime Mahbar, Deputy Director General, Public Service Department led the delegation to Australia on 8-11 December 2019 on a benchmarking visit. Public Service Department is entrusted to develop the first Public Service Act in Malaysia.
During the visit in Canberra, the delegation had a meeting with the Australian Public Service Department and was briefed on Australia’s Public Service Act 1999. They also met with officials from the Department of Finance to learn on Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act.
HBS of the High Commission also took the opportunity to engage with YBhg. Dato’ Suhaime Mahbar held in the morning of 9 December 2019. The session allowed HBS to ask questions related to the public service and developments happening in Malaysia.
