Consul General Dr Rameez organised a business lunch at the Essence on Exhibition Restaurant, Marriott Hotel, CBD Melbourne. Among those attended were Mr George Varughese (General Manager of Marriott Melbourne), Councillor Ken Ong (Office of the Lord Mayor of Melbourne), Mr Alex Ong (Owner of Radisson Melbourne), Mr Neville D Cruz (Bernama Correspondent), Mr Terrence Swampillai (MAS Area Manager Victoria and Tasmania), Ms Melissa Poon (CEO MISC Australia), Mr Mike Anderson (President of the Australia-Malaysia Business Council - Victoria) and Mr Kai Wai Choong (CEO of Setia Melbourne).
During the said lunch, discussions were among others on Fiesta Malaysia 2012 in Melbourne; Talk by YAB Lim Guan Eng at the AMBC Forum this Friday; Collaboration between the Lord Mayor’s Office and the Consulate General; Seminars to be jointly organised by AMBC and the Consulate General Office; and Closing of MISC Operation in Australia this July.
