A Chinese New Year Gathering was organised by the Australian Malaysia Business Council of the Victorian Chapter at the OMAHA Malaysian Restaurant at Port Melbourne on 15th February 2012. The gathering was attended by more than 30 people including Larry Gould, President of the AMBC, Mike Anderson, President of the Victoria & Tasmania Chapter, and Consul General Dr Mohd Rameez Yahaya.
The AMBC was formed in 1978 as a direct response to the growing need to facilitate the developing commercial activities between Australia and Malaysia. Along with its partner Council in Malaysia, the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC), AMBC key aim is to assist Australian and Malaysian business in constructive partnership and business expansion.
