Dr Ng Kok Leong, Director of the Policy and Strategic Planning of MTC and Mr Lucas Low made a call on Dr Rameez at the Consulate General Office this afternoon (Monday, 9/4/2012). Both Dr Ng and Mr Lucas are on a working visit to Melbourne for two days. During their stay in Melbourne, they will be making a visit at the Holmesglen Institute (Chadstone Campus) to see the progress made by the nine Malaysian trainees that have been fully sponsored by MTC to undergo a 3-month vocational and technical training course at the Institute. The course commenced on 5 March and would end on 25 May 2012. Besides looking at the progress so far made by the trainees, Dr Ng will also hold discussions with the Holmesglen Institute. This is to identify relevant vocational and technical courses for the wood-based and furniture industries at the Certificate and Diploma levels in the Institute. These courses will be meant for full time Malaysian students under the soon to be launched MTC Scholarship Award Programme (launching expected to be in the middle of July 2012).
